John H. Holland

John Henry Holland (* 1929 in den USA) studierte am Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) und schloss an der University of Michigan als erster Absolvent des Faches Informatik mit Promotion ab.
Er gilt als Mitbegründer des Genetischen Algorithmus, der nach ihm benannte Schemasatz ist zentraler theoretischer Bestandteil dieses Gebiets.
